Dear Megan, even the title you chose for your book really interested me. I believe that the roar of us women will create a beautiful future for the world. We started from our own Iran. Women who, in absolute silence, strive for freedom with utmost courage. We are a group of women of the Iranian resistance who want to be the voice of Iranian women, and I am very proud of your courage and consider myself a member of your community. You might be interested in seeing a bit of the Iranian regime's misogyny.
You writing & reporting is powerful & desperately needed. The world must bare witness to these atrocities against women in Iran & around the world. Then the respect, safety & honor of women must be restored forever 💗
I believe that in order to have a democratic country, women must have political leadership
Women must have an active role in all matters, be heard, have the right to choose, and I emphasize that no kind of coercion should be imposed on them, especially in gender matters
I was a young woman in the 1970s when Helen Reddy wrote the song containing the words: 'I am woman, hear me roar.' Perhaps this is where you first heard it, too.
Aas a senior woman in the US, a graduate of Cal Poly, SLO California, with a degree in English and a retired English teacher, I was excited to see this opportunity to learn about other women's writing and, hopefully contribute works relating to the struggles and accomplishments I have witnessed relating to women in the US over decades. I look forward to seeing how women have progressed and stand together against the current efforts to undermine all of the progress we have achieved.
We accept it as normal when unacceptable behaviors occur before the deaf or blind. WE ARE NEITHER, and yet maga leadership pretend to be so regarding Trump. What does it take though, for we as witnesses, to say, " No More ". The whole world sees him as our greatest weakness, which defies what our country stands for. How much more time does our country have, under such a leadership? His mental state condemns us all to a hellish existence. Laws must be created and followed in order to see survival of our nation over the sadistic nature of one man.
there's something about "the stories our bodies hold but cannot tell out loud" that hit me in a place i wasn't expecting on a random sunday morning scroll.
we spend so much time being palatable. editing ourselves down before anyone else gets the chance to. writing the version we think people can handle instead of the one that's actually true.
that's the dichotomy, right? we want to be seen but we're terrified of being seen. we want to roar but we've been trained to whisper. so we end up in this weird middle place — loud enough to be noticed, quiet enough to stay safe. and that middle place is exhausting.
a space that starts with "don't apologize, don't tiptoe" isn't just a writing magazine — it's permission. and sometimes permission is the only thing standing between someone and the thing they've been carrying for years.
the internet has a thousand places to publish. it has very few places that feel safe to be loud. this is clearly one of them. so glad you are here.
I just put your book in my cart. Sounds interesting. Can’t wait to get it. I believe women can do it. I am for women doing a man’s job. I use to drive a dump truck with a trailer. I loved it, but I’m retired now. I used to say we only need a man to mow the lawn and sex but now we don’t even need them for that.
I’m so excited to be a part of this community! Please check out my website www.DoctorKrotz.com to see why I roar! Let’s roar together! I’m especially interested in helping lift up young women and helping them find their voice.

Women are not commodities
Women have the right to choose their clothing
Women should have equal rights to men

Me too…🫶
Loved that song and Helen Reddy!
Me too, Debra!
I’m more of an “Angie Baby” person myself, but Yeah! I used to sing it at the top of my lungs every time I had an empowering moment.😎
I remember that song too. We are clearly of a similar generation.
Loved her and that song!

Yes, we have many achievements! I do mourn some of those “slipping away!”
It is bad to see them go
